The GUYnecology® Men’s Health Association Advanced Practice Provider Training Course focuses on GUYnecology® — specifically the issues that relate to the overall health of male patients. This informative and one-of-a-kind course will be held November 8 – 10, 2024.

The course will be case-based presentations with real-time answers and how to handle tricky patient issues. Attendees will receive slides in advance so they can arrive with questions about the issues that impact their daily practice. Registrants will also receive the Manual of Men’s Health: A Practice Guide for APRNs and PAs (Quallich, Susanne A.) at the course. Come with questions and leave with resources that will truly make a difference!

COURSE OVERVIEW

The GUYnecology® Men’s Health Association (GMHA) hybrid course is designed to provide clinical training to Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) in the evaluation and management of medical conditions unique to male health seen in any clinical setting. Furthermore, the training will include methods to promote prevention of the health conditions responsible for the leading causes of death in men. Ongoing education will be conducted through a coordinated mentorship program fostering the development of healthcare providers educated and dedicated to improving the health of men.

Training will be comprised of sessions in the following areas:

  • Clinical knowledge of specific diseases unique to men.
  • Clinical correlation of life-threatening co-morbidities associated with common disorders of male sexual dysfunction.
  • Diagnostic & treatment procedures utilized to evaluate, treat, and manage common conditions unique to males.
  • Review of pharmacological management of male sexual dysfunction.
  • Medical & surgical management of Benign Prostatic Hypertrophy with Lower Urinary Tract Symptoms (BPH/LUTS).
  • Medical & surgical management of Erectile Dysfunction (ED).
  • Medical & surgical management of Peyronie’s Disease (PD).
  • Cancer survivorship.
  • Methods for improving healthcare team efficiency in delivering care.
