GUYnecology® Entomology
To begin to answer that question, one must first ask what is a “guy”. According to the Merriam-Webster Dictionary, “guy” has many definitions. Informally, a “guy” is simply defined as a man and is synonymous with fellow, gentleman, lad, youth, boy, and dude. Depending on where you reside on planet earth it could mean a chap, bloke, or hombre. Guy can also mean a group of people of either sex, like “Hey guys! What’s up?!”
The origin of “guy” is associated with the infamous Guy Fawkes, a conspirator involved with the failed Gunpowder Plot of 1605 in England intended to burn down Parliament and the English monarchy. On November 5th England commemorates the failed plot with fireworks and the burning of effigies of Guy Fawkes!
Less commonly known usages of “guy” include “guying” meaning to make fun of or ridicule. More interesting is the definition of “guy” and “guying” meaning a rope, chain, rod, or wire attached to something as a brace or guide or to steady or reinforce with a “guy”.
This notion is more in line with the ideal of GUYnecology. We consider GUYnecology as the study of male physical, mental, social, and spiritual health and wellness affecting performance in life across the lifespan.

Why GUYnecology® now?
Men’s Health has been redefined and marginalized to male sexual health and vitality. Interestingly the aforementioned Guy Fawkes used the alias John Johnson (Johnson = penis for those that didn’t know) meaning the association between guys and their penises has been entrenched in the English language since the 1600s! We have known for some time there is more to male health and performance than six-pack abs and rock-hard marathon erections. GUYnecology expands on the complexities of male health using credible, relatable, and yes, humorous, information to educate anyone invested in the improvement of male health and performance.
Please join us to improve the health, wellness, and life performance of males!
